RutinaGrid — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026 · Versión en español

The short version

RutinaGrid is a local-first habit tracker. Your habits, check-ins, streaks, streak freezes, repairs and reminders are stored only on your device. There is no account, no sign-up and no RutinaGrid server that receives your habit data. Your habit names and your history never leave your phone.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in the app — habit names, schedules, check-in history, streak-freeze events, repairs, reminder times and settings — is stored in an on-device database. We cannot see it, back it up, or recover it. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted with it.

Optional anonymous analytics (only with your consent)

The first time you create a habit, the app asks whether you want to help improve RutinaGrid with anonymous statistics. Analytics are off by default and only start if you accept. You can change your mind at any time in Settings (“Anonymous statistics”), and “Delete my usage data” resets the analytics identifier.

If you opt in, we use PostHog Cloud EU (data processed in the European Union, eu.i.posthog.com) to receive usage events. These events contain only counts, categories and buckets — for example that a check-in happened, how many habits exist, or that a streak freeze was used. They never contain habit names, notes, dates of your check-ins, or any free text. PostHog is configured to never create person profiles; events are tied only to a random per-install identifier generated on your device. We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not sell data, and we do not share data with third parties for their own purposes — PostHog processes it solely on our behalf.

Error reporting

Crash reports and diagnostics (device model, operating-system version, app version and a technical stack trace) are sent to the same PostHog EU project so we can fix crashes. Report context uses only screen and event names from the app — never your habit names or content.

Export and import

You can export your data to a JSON file at any time, for free. The file is created only when you tap export, and it leaves your device only if you choose to share or move it yourself. Importing a file creates new copies of the habits it contains; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Home-screen widget and notifications

The widget shows your current streak using a summary derived on your device — no data is sent anywhere to render it. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no push-notification service is involved.

Children

RutinaGrid is not directed at children under 13, and the analytics described above are not enabled for child accounts.
